Most Mountson brackets can be installed in minutes with a drill, the right drill bit, a Phillips-head screwdriver and a level. Screw fixings are supplied, so you do not need to buy hardware, and every product has an instruction PDF.
What you need
- Battery or electric drill (with hammer function for brick or masonry)
- Drill bit for wood or steel, or for brick or masonry
- Phillips-head screwdriver
- Level and pencil
Step by step
- Pick the spot. Think about the listening position, power point and cable route. For Sonos Arc, the bracket has a built-in spirit level to help.
- Check the wall. The kit includes fixings for brick or masonry and for wood or studwork. If you are not sure what is behind the wall, ask a licensed installer.
- Mark the holes. Hold the bracket against the wall, level it, and mark the fixing points with a pencil.
- Drill and fix. Use the correct bit for your wall type, then fix the bracket with the supplied screws.
- Attach the speaker and adjust. Set the tilt and swivel, tuck the cable into the cable management, and check the speaker sits securely.
Tips
- Many mounts support inverted mounting if you need the controls within reach when high up.
- Always follow the installation guide for your model. You can download it from the Product Support page.
